We do not pad the count. In the last 30 days the four agencies published 2,270 license rows. Merging multiple filings for the same venue leaves 2,226 establishments. Dropping liquor stores, grocery and convenience leaves 1,446 on-premise venues. The on-premise count is 1,446 minus 202 changing hands minus 23 unclear, leaving 1,221 prospects. Those are the rows below. The transfers are in the paid feed too, labeled as transfers, because a venue changing owners reopens the same vendor decisions.

FAQ

Where does the data come from?

The state agencies directly: California ABC's daily new-applications report, Florida DBPR's license extracts and daily activity file, TABC's pending-application and license datasets on data.texas.gov, and the New York State Liquor Authority's pending-applications dataset on data.ny.gov. Every row links to its source.

What does "changed hands" mean, and why is it separate?

An alcohol license can transfer to a new owner at the same address. California publishes an action code that distinguishes this from an original application; Florida flags transfer requests. A venue changing owners is still worth a call, since the new operator re-picks vendors, but it is not a new restaurant and we will not sell it to you as one. Texas and New York publish no transfer flag, so their rows are labeled by what the agency does say.

How fresh is it?

Texas and New York update daily, California posts a daily report, Florida posts a daily activity file plus periodic full extracts. We pull every morning and send what is new since your last email.

Do you add phone numbers or emails?

No. We redistribute the public license record as filed: business name, owner entity, premises address, license type, dates, status. That keeps the product clean under California's data broker rules. You do your own outreach.

Why not just check the state sites myself?

You can. It is four agencies in four formats, one of which only shows a single day at a time and sits behind bot protection, and none of them will merge duplicate filings, tell you which rows are transfers, or email you when a type 47 appears in your county.
